The short answer
Jobscan is not really a CV builder. It compares your CV with a specific job advert and gives you a match rate, with tips for the applicant tracking system the employer uses. If you are searching for a Jobscan alternative, it helps to be clear about which problem you are trying to solve.
If your problem is matching the wording of each advert, Jobscan is good at that. If your problem is that your ERP experience does not come across, a higher match rate will not fix it. That is what ERPCV is for. Here is how they compare, with prices checked on 19 October 2026.
What Jobscan does well
Jobscan scans your CV against a job description and reports a match rate based on major applicant tracking systems such as iCIMS, Lever, Greenhouse and Taleo. It recommends aiming for 75%. Around that sit AI optimisation, a CV builder, LinkedIn optimisation, cover letters, a job tracker and an auto-apply option.
- Advert-specific feedback: it shows which skills and terms from the advert are missing from your CV.
- A free tier: five scans a month, plus the builder and job tracker.
- Sensible format advice: it recommends Word files for most applications unless the advert asks for PDF.
- LinkedIn: paid plans include profile optimisation.
What a match rate cannot tell you
A match rate counts overlap between two documents. It cannot judge whether your evidence is convincing to an SAP programme director or an Oracle practice lead. You can raise the score by repeating terms from the advert while the CV still fails the human read that follows.
SAP Basis, S/4HANA, HANA, system administration, upgrades, migrations, SolMan, transport management.
Led the Basis workstream for an ECC to S/4HANA conversion on HANA 2.0, ran three rehearsal migrations to cut downtime to 26 hours, and set up the transport and monitoring model for hypercare.
Both lines include the advert’s terms. Only the second shows the reader you can run the next conversion.
Dynamics 365, D365 SCM, supply chain, warehouse, inventory, procurement, production.
Dynamics 365 Supply Chain consultant for discrete manufacturers, designing warehouse and production control processes and leading UAT with plant teams.
A list of terms raises a score. A sentence about who you help and what you design wins the interview.
The rewritten lines are illustrative. In an ERPCV pack, numbers only appear when your own CV or review supports them.
ERPCV vs Jobscan side by side
Jobscan pricing compared with ERPCV
On 19 October 2026 Jobscan listed a free plan with five scans a month, a monthly plan at USD 49.95 and a quarterly plan at USD 89.95 every three months, about USD 29.98 a month, with a seven-day free trial. Its cancellation policy says refunds are case by case, only within two days of a billing period for unused accounts, with a 3.5% fee.
ERPCV is a one-off purchase, charged in UAE dirhams:
- Career Evidence Pack, AED 69.78 (about USD 19), one payment.
- Pack with Noel’s recorded review, AED 547.20 (about USD 149), which adds a 5 to 10 minute recorded review from Noel within 3 working days.
- Pack with a 30-minute call, AED 914.45 (about USD 249), which adds a live 30-minute call with Noel.
One month of Jobscan at the monthly rate costs more than the first ERPCV tier, but they solve different problems: Jobscan is ongoing matching, ERPCV is a one-off rebuild of the evidence. Not happy with your documents? Tell us within 7 days and we refund you.
How to use a scanner after ERPCV
- Use your ERPCV CV as the master version.
- Scan it against each advert with Jobscan’s free tier and note missing terms.
- Add a missing term only where it is true and you can show it in a project line.
- Ignore suggestions that would replace evidence with lists of keywords.
Used this way, a scanner is a final check, not a substitute for the story.
Where ERP consultants lose points in a scan
When ERP CVs score poorly in a match report, it is rarely for lack of technical terms. The usual causes are simpler:
- The advert uses the employer’s words, such as "record to report" or "order to cash", while the CV only lists module codes.
- Soft responsibilities in the advert, such as stakeholder management or training, appear nowhere in the projects.
- Product names are inconsistent: S/4HANA in one place, S4 in another, SAP ERP elsewhere.
- Key projects sit in a table or text box that some systems read poorly.
Fix these in the evidence itself and your score usually rises without any keyword stuffing.
What is in an ERPCV pack
Because Jobscan and ERPCV are often compared on the CV alone, it helps to see everything the pack covers. Each document carries the same evidence into a different moment of your search:
- Consultant CVprojects led by what you owned, not by module lists.
- Project portfoliotwo or three projects in more depth, for the interviewer who wants detail.
- 10 LinkedIn outreach messagesshort, specific notes to recruiters and hiring managers.
- 20 recruiter questions and answersthe questions ERP interviewers ask, answered from your own history.
- Career roadmapthe roles your evidence supports now, and what to build next.
All five are editable Word files in your account. Review every line before you use it; nothing is added that your source CV does not support.
